I adore Mary Kay Andrews, AKA Kathy Trocheck, and reading Ladies' Night was like returning home. It was really nice to be comforted by the familiar writing style and characters I quickly came to love during all the chaos of my recent move. This one takes place in Florida, in a fictional area near Bradenton. Mary Kay's love for junking, decorating, and cooking shine here as we follow Grace through the aftermath of her unfortunate choice to drive her cheating husband's convertible into a pool. A subplot has Grace adopting a dog in need, which of course, just makes us love her more. As always, Andrews is funny, sharp, bright, and yet still asks the reader to seriously consider her own feelings about the topic at hand. Keep 'em coming!
