Fallen by Lauren Kate is one of those books that you cannot seem to put down after you start it. Luce is a young girl that has recently been admitted to Sword & Cross Boarding School, where the rules are stricter than she could imagine. There, she meets Arriane, Roland, Molly, Penny, and many others. But two stand out from the rest: Daniel and Cam. Throughout her first days there, Luce seems to switch back from both of them, but especially Daniel. One moment he seems to be calling out for her, and the next he is pushing her away. Cam on the other hand, is always there for her. He’s a reliable friend, and sometimes even more than a friend. But as much as she tries to see him, there are moments where Luce is so attracted to Daniel that she wonders if there is a magnet pulling them together. But it seems that Daniel does not feel that… or does he? He protects her from anything terrible that could happen, and always seems to be hanging out close to her. Being careful not to spoil anything, I will say that Fallen is an addicting book, and you will need tissues and chocolate before you sit down to read it.
