I was quite enjoying this book, in spite of the amazing coincidences to move the plot along, however the coincidences got a little too much when (spoiler alert) the theatre manager was disposed of. It was an an unforeseen accident on stage the caused the manager (who hadn't smoked for 15 years) to rush out, bum a cigarette to smoke outside the theatre - into the arms of the killer who was waiting for him. And later a whole bunch of coincidences led to the kidnap of our heroine's father. I lost interest at this point.
