Born Mary O'Brien in 1939, Dusty Springfield (with her powerful "pitch-perfect" singing voice) remains to this day ranked right up there in the "Top 25 Best Female Vocalists" of all time. During the Swinging Sixties, Dusty Springfield quickly became something of a pop culture icon, effortlessly belting out such tailor-made songs (thanks to talented songwriters like Burt Bacharach & Hal David) as - I Only Want To Be With You, Son Of A Preacher Man, and, Wishin' And Hopin'..... (*Watch music-video*) This "Best Of" CD contains 20 tracks in all which were recorded by Dusty Springfield (along with accompanying musicians) in the years from 1963-1969. *Special Note* - In 1999 (at the age of 59), Dusty Springfield died from breast cancer.
