Over 60 years after she first ventured into man's world, Amazon princess Diana (Gal Gadot) lived a quiet pose as a D.C. researcher ... until she looked into a legendary stone reputed to grant wishes. The artifact let her restore long-lost love Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) to life--but it also turned colorless colleague Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig) into the predatory Cheetah, before falling into the hands of power-mad industrialist Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal).

Really like the original WW movie (2017).

So was looking forward to "more of the same."
Didn't get that.

Instead, got one of the most disappointing movies this year. Or maybe for the last 2-3 years. Starts well enough, back in Amazonia, with a big screen-filling epic event that really delivers.
Then, the credits roll and it's quickly down hill from there.

Juvenile stuff. BAD juvenile stuff. Worse, it's not even ... exciting.

This was a bigger piece of ka-ka than the last Wonder Woman film. It's 2h31m long and it took more than 50mins into the thing to start to show what was going to happen in the story. My guess -- the writer, director, and everyone involved in the thing got paid by the minute at the loss of what might otherwise have been a good film. It's a shame that DC has found an actress who's a great fit for Diana/WW, have shown that they can make this character amazing in the other DC films, and then go waste Gal's time / abilities / career and all the production money making these PHHT films. The representation of 1984 was off mark -- including too much of the 1970s and later 80s in addition to the early 80s. This theme seems more like a cheap grab at doing a period piece for Wonder Woman. And all that isn't to mention the non-WW-cannon elements in the film. IMO the film was a number of shameful missed opportunities.

Loved it. I grew up watching the Wonder Woman TV show in the 80's with Lynda Carter. This movie was very different and unexpected, but some gadgets were similar. Story line was very different, but that is OK. I love the actors (Gal Gadot is fabulous as Wonder Woman) and I enjoyed the movie. I thought the Villain and the villain's story could have been a bit stronger, but story line was great. I loved it. 4.5 stars out of 5.
The comment about Chris Pine playing Steve Austin (The Six Million Dollar Man) is either very funny, or a foolish, ignorant remark if you don't know your subject matter. Chris Pine portrayed Colonel Steve Trevor, Diana's boss in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The 80s were so awesome. So much they could of done in a modern way to play tribute to that era. Loved WWOne so much. Sad that this follow-up was so lackluster. I appreciate that Gal Gadot still gave a great performance. Chris Pine kinda phoned it in. Kristin Wiig did as best she could with what they gave her. I give it a 4 for Gal. and a 2 for the movie overall.

Not a good follow up to the first movie. Plot is too scattered with poorly crafted characters.

Terrible movie. Very slow and not true to the comic book characters. Too much self-pity and self-interest. Do not waste your time.
Not even worth one star.

Not enough of the cheetah. For a big budget superhero movie Wonder Woman should be fighting some super villain or a big mean space alien instead she's fighting some maniacal greedy businessman creep with suspicious hair.
Gee, that sounds familiar. I mean in WW1 she was fighting Aries the God of War. Also, how does Steve know how to fly jets when last we saw him in WW1 he was fly bi-planes with no jet propulsion. WW2 wasn't a waste but it could have been better.

Such a disappointing movie. I gave it only one star because the only good thing about this movie is the presence of Gal Gadot. She could not save a dismal script.

A very long movie, and not all that good. I found the first one more interesting.

Loved it. You have to let go and just get into fun! It's about feeling better. AND I DID.

BTW Margarita89's comment is incorrect. Chris Pine is NOT playing Steve Austin!!! :)

Odd that these three have not been included in IMDb yet:

You cannot be the winner, because you are not ready to win, and there is no shame in that. Only in knowing the truth in your heart and not accepting it. No true hero is born from lies.

Look to the Golden Warrior Asteria. She did not become a legend out of haste. She did it through true acts of bravery. Like patience, diligence, and the courage to face the truth. One day, you'll become all that you dream of and more, and everything will be different. This world is not yet ready for all that you will do.

Beware what you wish for. It grants your wish, but takes your most valued possession.
