This movie is about a high school boy named Hodaka Morishima who ends up running away from his home all the way to Tokyo where he meets a girl named Hina Amano who has powers that let her change the weather whenever she wishes too. I thought that this was a well told and presented story. I loved the animation throughout the entirety of the film. There were so many scenes in the movie filled with surreal nature scenery, it looked magical. This also includes the scenes where Hina Amano cooks food. The amount of attention to detail put into these scenes make the food they are eating delicious even though it is a simple and well known dish. We can also see the budding romance between the two main characters and how they work together on a project they are passionate about. In between those moments are filled with cute moments with the little mascot they made up and time they spent together. Overall a beautiful story, 5/5 rating. --@minimonie of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board

“Weathering with You” is a fantastic movie to watch. It was directed by Makoto Shinkai and released in 2019. I loved the beautiful animation, The amazing soundtrack, and the original and interesting story concept. My favourite part was the end, where the Music and animation played their best part. Personally, I think the characters were likeable. Further in the movie, you could see the main character and female lead overcome some obstacles together and eventually depend on each other. My favourite character was probably Nagi, as he was quite funny at times. This movie reminded me a little bit of “Your Name” since both movies had similar animation and outstanding soundtrack. There were also easter eggs in the movie that showed the two main characters from “Your Name”, which was a cool surprise to see. I think the director did an amazing job, and for me, there would be nothing to change. I would recommend it to people who are watching anime for the first time to really grasp what anime really is. Overall, I really liked this film, and rate a 5/5.

This is so bad, very very bad. The story is lacking, the work is around disappointing. To much of a money grab with lots of songs telling the story poorly rather then the film. Save your time and pass it by

An enjoyable and beautiful movie but it won't stick with you like Your Name did.

Have to be patient to reach the last 20 minutes, where is the best part. From Five Center Meters per Second, Your Name, ..., to this one, Shinkai Makoto always talks about same story.

The one voiced for the old lady is a famous actress in Japan.

Gorgeous animation, good music. The director specializes in stories about the challenges of boys growing up and choices they make in their lives.

I adore this movie! The soundtrack is amazing that goes along with it. The animation and pictures are amazing and appear to be lifelike. This is not a movie you'll forget! I love anime movies and love stories and this movie is both!
