Med student Lucas (Jonah Hauer-King) rescues young pit bull mix Bella (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard) from a construction site in Denver, Colorado. But Denver's laws against pit bull ownership, and a "no dogs" clause in the lease where he and his mom (Ashley Judd) live, force Lucas to send Bella to his friends in New Mexico until he can get a new place. Unable to stand the separation, Bella embarks on a perilous two-year, 400-mile trek to get back to Lucas.

Now THIS is a film to watch to relax you from the news. Grateful for the CG artists in the workmanship they gave to this … looked pretty real. Thought it was rather novel that Denver's skyline and Golden's main street banner was included in this.

My husband and I liked this one very much, and recommend a family night with popcorn for ya'll who have not seen it...

The voice really got on my nerves after half an hour, cute voice for a puppy but tiring as an adult dog. Great family movie--perfect for getting 8-year-old girls to cry--very 1960s Wonderful World of Disney type movie.

I'm not really into dogs, however, I liked the cinematography, in particular the wildlife and natural shots of the movie, the music used in some of the scenes, as well as some attention-grabbing sequences. Having watched Haichi: A Dog's Tale (2009), starring Richard Gere, and knowing there are true stories that are out there, I would recommend that one if you are into these types of movies if you want something more "adult". The voice-over for the dog made the movie feel like it's for young kids.

Cute film with many CGI animals. The repetitive 'mama cat' concept was adorable.

Sweet, but predictable lost dog story. Kids will enjoy it and cheer for the dog/cougar team-up. Lots of scenes where live-action would have been impossible to show, so they are done with less-than-authentic CGI or superimposed shots. Not exactly big-budget effects, which will look somewhat cheesy to anyone old enough to pay attention to those kind of details (70's era effects level).

A turbo charged, intense (too much for early teens?) and more complex "Lassie Come Home" epic adventure. Find out how some of the most heart warming scenes were done (if you want) see the last 10 minutes of "An Unforgettable Journey" in special features

This is really a great family movie. The dogs and other animals displayed throughout the film tug at your heart, emotionally and physically. Great stuff!

Dumb, derivative, and if you've seen the trailer, you've seen the entire movie.
