Connecticut mom-blogger Stephanie Sommers (Anna Kendrick) had developed a swift if improbable friendship with her new neighbor--imposing fashionista Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) -- and thought nothing of it when Emily asked if she'd pick up her son from school. However, Emily disappeared after that, the believed victim of foul play ... and Stephanie's hunt for the truth leads to stunning twists.

This movie is only 20 minutes long, which makes sense, as director Paul Feig's ouvre on the producer's side consists of eleventy-seven hundred TV-PG sitcoms, plus some infamous big screen fails such as Ghostbusters But Ladies and Fat Lady Falls Down.

Two sexy actresses at the peak of ripeness perform a little skit between a gee-whiz ingenue and a jaded millionaire, who shows her exactly how to make a martini (take note!) and asks the titular favor.

What follows is like finding the car of your dreams at just the right price, only to have it conk out and catch fire on your first Sunday drive. Lemon!

Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively play nicely off each other in this interesting but not too deep film. Kendrick in her Hello Kitty socks and Lively in her expensive stillettos form an unlikely duo only because their kids want a play date. Cue the suspense music. A few twists and turns ensue with side characters thrown in just to keep it interesting, look for Linda Cardellini in a role that's a long way from Velma in the Scooby Doo movies. Light background music adds to the suspense with a few laughs thrown in. For a movie that I had never heard of and only borrowed due to seeing the trailer, I would highly recommend this.

kept my interest. But was not that great a movie. It seems many others think better of the movie than I do.

Vlogger and PTA superhero Stephanie gets more than she bargained for after striking a friendship with the elusive Emily and her novelist professor Sean. Filled with quick quips and plot twists, this thriller is based off of Darcy Bell's book of the same name.

I love this movie, it was great in theaters and great today. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick were born for these roles.

I was expecting a thriller, which is how it started, but it was so funny and over-the-top in places. A fun spoof of a thriller. And if you liked the male lead in Crazy Rich Asians, here's more from him!

Dark, ridiculous and very entertaining!

If you're looking for an escape this is the movie. I loved Blake and Anna in this movie. The male lead however, left a lot to desire. Great movie that requires zero concentration.

Pretty fun! The humor and the character of the lead balances the grimness of the plot. Nice twist at the end. Love the “updates” after the main movie ends!

Awful movie with unpleasant, annoying people and bratty whining children. I gave it longer than it deserved.

Emily, is missing right now. She asked me a simple favor, to pick up her son, Nicky, from school, which was five days ago.
My dad died when I was a senior in high school. And this boy showed up to the funeral. His name was Chris. And I guess he was the spitting image of my father, 30 years younger. My mom thought she saw a ghost. And it turned out
he was my half-brother.
-That's your whole secret? That your dad had an affair?
-Okay, can you just tell me your secret? Come on, spill it, dark side.
Stephanie, go home. Emily had some Xanax in the medicine cabinet. Take one. Take two. Yeah. Maybe she has some heroin lying around. Hmm? This is all just grief. Just stages of grief.
That's Squaw Lake! The kids all joke that it's holy water. Any fish you pull out of there is guaranteed to feed a multitude.
