Really enjoyed this series as it was both well-scripted and acted. I couldn't stop watching after one episode but would watch several in an evening. It showed imagination and developed the characters over the series.

This is a very entertaining show. I only wish there were more of it.

Even putting this in the same territory as Battlestar Galactica is blasphemous. However, this isn't the worst sci-fi series you will see. There is some good acting to go along with some very credible actors (Stolz, Morales, Malcolmson-Trixie from Deadwood, Walker-Atia from Rome, Marsters-Buffy/Smallville) and a very Cyberpunk landscape. The storyline fumbles and there is a definite lack of action. I am going to watch 1.5 just to see how it shakes out.

I love this series. Excellent production values and plot lines. Actors do a great job. If you love Battlestar Galactica then you will love Caprica too. That said I have noticed some inconsistencies between Caprica and Battlestar history/future. Bu thats okay with me in this case as it stands on its own as it is really dealing with entirely different issues than Galactica.

This is just not that good. Story is nonsense; plenty of holes big enough for a Mack truck to drive through. I like Eric Stoltz in general, but he doesn't have much to work with here. The rest of the cast's acting is passable, sometimes cringe-inducing. Overall, there's none of the excitement that you get from watching Battlestar Galactica. I watched the pilot and a couple of episodes; didn't bother with the rest. Skip this.

I'm not sure why this was cancelled --it's good. Kind of makes me smashy about religion, but sometimes I think religion was invented just to make people hate each other.

Definitely not at good as the Battlestar Galactica series, this prequel does have a few merits going for it, particularly the origins of the Cylons monotheistic beliefs and the reasons they were created in the first place.

Don't waste your time borrowing this. It is an insulting attempt to cash-in on the Battlestar name. Plot is paper thin and relies on over-the-top gimmicks to carry forward each flimsy melodramatic sci-fi concept. The acting makes me uncomfortable being as bad as it is....save for Eric Stoltz, whom i am saddened to understand went through with this.
