This book was interesting to me as I’ve heard many stories about female serial killers through watching Investigation Discovery’s “Deadly Women” but have discovered many cases I hadn’t heard of through this book and the facts and fiction gets divided up and analyzed quite well. The author looks at misperceptions and confronts the killers head on in a refreshing and oftentimes entertaining way that keeps you reading along.

This book was so interesting! In 14 fascinating chapters, Telfer recounts the tale of mostly forgotten female serial killers from medieval Europe right up through twentieth-century Kansas. I listened to this on Hoopla audio and thoroughly enjoyed it (that's not weird, right?).

This is a fascinating look at some of history's most notorious female killers. I knew quite a bit about Bathory, but Telfer introduced me to many interesting "murderesses" I'd never heard of before. I really enjoyed her discourse on society's perception of female killers - both in the past and the present.
