Save the Last Dance is worth seeing at least once if you like teen movies. It could have been better with some additional editing and/or faster pacing; I think teen movies should typically be less than 100 minutes in length. It's fun to see Kerry Washington in this early role. Save the Last Dance is rated PG-13 for violence, sexual content, language and brief drug references.

Save the Last Dance is my go to movie when I am feeling down and need a feel good movie pick me up. I have seen this movie at least a dozen times since I was a teenager and I would reccomend it to anyone who needs to be reminded of the inherent strength and goodness in us all.

Cute and interesting interplay with the intercouple relationship. I do not think this movie brought anything forward, but for its time and place in history it did well.
