Burnt is a fabulous movie although other may disagree. Burnt depicts the competitive European world of French gourment cooking. Thechef is question could described as an "enfant horrible". This movie is somewhat sophisticated & not for the fast food crowd.Burnt elevates the artistic side of cooking & retaurantry. I give this movie five stars out of five. Bravo,well done but not overly done.

Bradley Cooper doesn't quite imbue this role with the truthfulness needed for an addict to overcome his selfishness. For example, he deliberately coerces Helene into working for him, not particularly kind nor gracious. I don't doubt the tirades are common at high-end kitchens, and the pressures intense.

A kind of predictable story about a rock star chef who burns himself out with his excessive self destructive behaviors and now is looking for redemption in one of his old business partner's restaurants in London. I think that Bradley Cooper is not a perfect choice for the main character but he does put some passion into the part. The story and characters are not terribly interesting and it starts to drag a bit in the second half. If one likes this movie I would recommend other films like Big Night with Stanley Tucci,Eat Drink Man Woman by Ang Lee and Chef with Jon Favereau

This movie has it's detractors and only got middling reviews from the critics, so I was surprised when it sucked me into the plot and entertained for a couple of hours. Watching Bradley Cooper manipulate his sous chef's and owner into joining his kitchen is fun. Sometimes he loses his grip in the kitchen and those scenes are hard to watch, but they are brief. The chemistry of Cooper and Sienna Miller is once again on display ( American Sniper ) and enjoyable, although Miller's beauty is well hidden in a terrible haircut and bland make up.

An OK film but rather predictable so not that interesting or revealing. Maybe just an excuse to make a movie with a popular actor. Not sure if I believe all the chef stuff - I guess I would have to be able to see what goes on in a high end fancy restaurant kitchen. The characters were not developed enough for me to really care about them or what happened to them.

The beginning is boring but it becomes a bit more interesting towards the end. Couldn't give it more than one star because it dragged through more than half of the story. So much bad temper and swearing. It doesn't take a lot of talent to repeat the F word numerous times.

I am amazed at the other reviewers' low attention span. This movie is not boring if you follow the premise. I thought it did a great job recreating the tension in a restaurant kitchen (like the movie Chef). Definitely an attractive cast! If you like food or like watching how it is made, check it out.

Some good quotes in IMDb but not this on Burger King - Part 2 of 2:

'Cause you can't.
-Because the food here is made with too much fat and too much salt and too many cheap cuts of meat.
You just described most classic French peasant dishes. Burger King is peasants doing what peasants do, giving a cheap cut of meat a little style. Goulash, bourguignon, cassoulet. Shall I go on?
-I really have to go.
What you should have said is that the problem with this place is it's too consistent. And consistency is death.
-Consistency is what every great chef strives for.
No, a chef should strive to be consistent in experience, but not consistent in taste. It's like sex. It's like, you're always headed to the same place, but you got to find new and dangerous way of getting there.

Too many holes in the movie. Keeps you trying to figure out the movie. I liked The movie 'Chef' better... Now that's real cooking. I felt like I got 'Burnt' watching this junk!
