Sage advice from a by gone era. Advice like "save money" and "live below your means" may have worked well in the time of powdered wigs and buggy whips, but today's reality of leverage, increased speed of transactions, and low yields in GICs and savings coupled with punitive taxes on savings income could actually lead to poverty.

The financial world has changed and this "Ye Old World" book written in "Thy style of the day" reminds us how much that is true.
