Interesting alternative perspective into China that western media shed little light on- namely, daily life in China, the Chinese view of foreigners and their place in the world, the Chinese psyche, and their interpretation of history. While the author takes, in my view, an overly negative view of all things China, his arguments around the incompatibility of Chinese values limiting the country's rise are compelling, while his colourful and cynical sarcasm make for an entertaining read. Recommend.
