Characters so unlikable, you really don't care if they die or not. "Found footage" style irritating. Meh score does not heighten what little tension exists.

I love a good cheesy disaster flick, but this fails even on those terms.

I like this movie I thought the special effects were great. it was better than twister.

Watchable as light entertainment with good graphics, but no story past chasing storms.

I'm not a fan of shaky hand-held camera, reality style films. Didn't help that it started off with some whiny, complaining character.
15 minutes were enough for me, whatever promises of great action scenes to follow.

I wish I could give it a negative Star rating, but 1/2 is the lowest it will go...

Disappointed in this movie. Lots of visual effects but the movie had a phoney feel to it. My perspective.

The tornado special effects are very well done.

The CGI for the tornadoes was not bad but really that was about immensely silly movie.

NOTE: this review is for "Into The Storm", not "Into The Woods (which seemingly is mistaken for the aforementioned title, judging by the comments thus far) ANYWAY... "Into the Storm" is quite possibly the worst film to have been released this year. Overwrought melodrama about a small town getting repeat pummelings by tornadoes. There is a point at the end where "jumping the shark" and "nuking the fridge" take on whole new meanings, now to be joined by the phrase "Tornado-ing the Tank". The real flaw of films like these is the lack of any empathy with ANYONE in the cast. A good drama will always have one character that the viewer either relates to or cares about; this one has none.

Mom: What the hell are you two idiots doing?
Donk and Richie: Mom I thought you were at work!
Mom: That makes any difference?
Let's take a tour of the ultimate
storm-chasing vehicle, the Titus.
She's equipped with 24 surveillance cameras, so we have eyes from every angle. Bulletproof Lexan windows. A gyroscopic stabilized camera. A 5-ton winch. 4-millimeter solid steel armor. Now, back here, we have a mini weather center, complete anemometer, humidity sensor and potentiometer. But the thing that makes her really special are these grappling claws. They can stabilize us in winds up to 170 miles an hou r... The turret is up here. Which gives us a 360-degree view of outside. It's fitted with a digital cinema camera that will, when we find one of these bad boys...give us the shot of the century. A sight nobody but God has witnessed:
the eye of the tornado.
