What Do You Want Most? Is It Money, Fame, Power, Contentment, Personality, Peace of Mind, Happiness? The Thirteen Steps to Riches described in this book offer the shortest dependable philosophy of individual achievement ever presented for the benefit of the man or woman who is searching for a definite goal in life. This is not a novel. It is a textbook on individual achievement that came directly from the experiences of hundreds of America's most successful men. It should be studied, digested, and meditated upon." (Dr. Miller Reese Hutchison). After reading the story, you will realize that you are about to come into possession of a philosophy which can be transmuted into material wealth, or serve as readily to bring you peace of mind, understanding, spiritual harmony and help you master physical affliction.

Incredible book. I purchased and read Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude a few years back. This book was brought up frequently and I just now got around to it. It is just as good if not better than PMA.

There are a lot of productivity tips and inspirational ways of thinking. It may not be for everyone, but there is an infectious quality about the writer's optimism that is sincere and believable.

It is one of those things that will only work if you follow through on it. It does not have practical tips to make money, such as how to invest, or start a business, etc..., but it does contain the recipe for building a character whose riches accumulate.

Great audiobook that really teaches you about visualizing your goal before you achieve it.

Don't waste your time. The only good thing to note from this otherwise dreadful book is that it is the importance of visualization of your goals. But you can find this advice throughout many newer, better written, more helpful books.

Otherwise, this book is filled with new-aged garbage some of which is incomprehensible, written by a total conman. Read the background on its author, Napoleon Hill (search for an excellent bio written on Gizmodo). The man fabricated every story he ever told, swindled people out of money throughout his life, and was constantly on the run from the law.

Think and Grow Rich teaches the ready the basic psychology of the rich and wealthy as author Napoleon Hill is thought by some of the wealthiest people ever such as Andrew Carnegie on what is takes mentally to accumulate riches. He is thought to surround yourself with the right people and always have the right mentality before and during on your journey to riches.Napoleon teaches the reader about different aspects of the accumulation of riches such as imagination, the sixth sense, and the mastery group which is the most important chapter as it teaches the reader to connect there minds with the people on the same journey. The book shows the reader that the accumulation of riches is definitely possible and is mainly a mindset thing that must be mastered before anything else.Without a shaped mindset then wealth is not a sure thing at all and will probably never be met. This book has been an inspiration to millions around the world and has helped a lot of entrepreneurs.Without this book the mindset aspect of success would not be very high making this book an amazing read and a life changing book.

I'm currently reading this book. This is a great book for entrepreneurs. My family has started a reading book club and this is the first book that we are reading. Love his perseverance.

This is basically the original self help book, which works both for and against it. This book was written before self help authors realized it was more profitable to praise people for 'raising their consciousness' than actually expecting them to do work, and so the book gives practical advise. But at the same time, this book is the original self-help book and thus most of the books that followed ripped off Mr. Hill shamelessly, making much of this familiar reading if you have read any self-help book ever. And finally it is an old book. The author actually knew Thomas Edison, Henry Ford and President Franklin Roosevelt. This means that much of what he recommends is no dated, either in application (hiring a typist for instance) or in cultural assumptions (the latent sexism and prudish puritan protestant assumptions for example). You could do worse than this book, but keep in mind the context if you choose to read it.

I was reffered to this book after reading 'Rich Dad Poor Dad' Very much like the book 'the secret' I believe this book inspired the makers of the best selling book 'the secret'
Not a bad read. I didn't finish it though I found I read to many of these kind of books. Maybe pick it up later.
