This volume fully introduces the last quincy into the series, Uryu Ishida. The entire volume revolves around Uryu challenging Ichigo. The challenge was who could kill more hollows and Uryu crushed the hollow bait and it began. Ichigo immediately went to protect his family. Chad sees Ichigo’s sister about to be attacked by a hollow and saves her. Chad cannot fully see hollows so he relies on Ichigo’s sister to help him fight. Chad awakens a special ability and kills the hollow in one punch after. However, during the fight Chad sustains heavy wounds and passes out. Orihime notices a hollow coming to attack her friends and tries to save them before the hollow notices them. The hollow has an ability which allows it to control anyone with pellets from it’s own body. Orihime’s friends get hit by these pellets and attack her. Orihime also awakens a special ability which turns her earrings into little fairy-like creatures. Orihime kills the hollow and saves her friend with this ability. 4/5. @GOATreviews of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

Well that's a strange turn of events. Now everyone seems to have their own sort of superpowers.
