A fun, silly sci-fi adventure that's a distant cousin to Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker series. If you're in the mood for a campy diversion of the classic space opera variety, then Emperor Mollusk versus The Sinister Brain may be just the book for you.

I a ma fan of pretty much all of A Lee Martinez's work in general.

Having said that, this book wasn't up to par with some of his earlier books.

It had some good moments, but overall, I think he tried a little too hard to make it work.

I love the way this book was written. I could see the emperor calmly having discussions with the bad guys as Zala his side kick is in the back ground with all sorts of chaos going on as she battles a monster of one sort or another.
I especially got a kick out of the egos.

This was a very entertaining and quick read.
