Love the Miranda James books - I guess it follows that I love cats. This book has a good plot, as usual, but the son, Sean, should have gotten a kick in the pants for being so rude to his father.

If you like books and you like cats, this is the series for you! I liked the first book better than this second one, but I will keep reading. The Maine Coon cat in this series is a delightful character.

Our heroes are an old librarian and his intelligent Maine Coon cat. I've gotta like that. Our locale is Mississippi, more genteel than gritty. OK. The murder mystery is mild mannered too. There's nothing remarkable here, but it's a pleasant read.
