Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them , Newt Scamander's classic compendium of magical creatures, has delighted generations of wizarding readers. Now, in this updated edition with a new foreword by Newt himself and the unveiling of six beasts little known outside the American wizarding community, Muggles too have the chance to discover where the Thunderbird lives, what the Puffskein eats, and why shiny objects should always be kept away from the Niffler.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to Comic Relief and J.K. Rowling's international charity, Lumos, which will do magic beyond the powers of any wizard. If you feel that this is insufficient reason to part with your money, one can only hope that passing wizards feel more charitable if they see you being attacked by a Manticore.

A quick Sunday read

I don't usually read scripts but I liked the movie and found it more enlightening after reading the screenplay. Maybe that's just because I didn't understand it half the time with their accents and the volume was super low because of my sleeping children ... well anyway, I recommend this for Harry Potter fans but it will be more enjoyable if you've seen the movie already. I'm looking forward to the rest of movies. I believe there are going to be 5 all together.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (by J.K. Rowling) is about the mystical and magical creatures of the Harry Potter universe. The book was used by the students in the Harry Potter series as a textbook. This book is an encyclopedia, not a chapter book. I wish I went to Hogwarts so I could read the real book with my wizarding friends.

The narrator of the book was Newt Scamander, a magical creature expert. In the book, there are creatures from the “Acromantula”(a giant eight eyed spider) to the “Yeti”(a giant humanoid snow dwelling beast). The book was first released to the wizarding world in 1927.

In Conclusion, I think that this book is really good for Harry Potter fans, or just anybody who wants a good read. I liked the book because it looked really good in my imagination(the book has no illustrations). This book could also encourage people to try to find creatures in the real muggle world. All in all, I rate this book a 10/10!

DEAR CHRISCOLEMAN: THIS IS THE ORIGINAL `SCHOOL BOOK`, NOT THE MOVIE (or anything to do with it.) Considering the half-`asterick` description you`ve given of the film (Dumbledore is NOWHERE to be seen, except as being mentioned having stood up for wrongfully accused Newt Scamander at Hogwarts, Pickett is a bowtruckle (although not anywhere near my idea of the proper look for a bowtruckle) and the two sisters are the by-the-book, rush-in-to-the-defense-of-the-helpless-where-MACUSA-fears-to-tread nerd and her delightful, Marilyn Monroe-sweet, Non-Maj (Muggle) adoring baby sister, I have only one question for you: WHAT FILM WERE YOU LOOKING AT, BWANA???????

I don't usually mind reading a script, but this one I found a little frustrating as well.
