"Random Harvest" is to seen to believed. It is a masterpiece of film making that stars Ronald Colman and Greer Garson. The movie was based on the book by the same title by James Hilton. It was a blockbuster both as a book and as a film. Movie critics for years have debated whether "Mrs Minerva" with Greer Garson the same year was better. After all, she got the Best Actress Award from the Academy Awards for the later. She was quoted as saying that her work was better in "Random Harvest". I recommend both movies and you be the judge. No matter what internet movie site you check, you will discover that Random Harvest has thousands of loyal fans. I am proud to be one of those fans and to recommend the movie for your entertainment pleasure.

The story line is improbable but it doesn't really matter because Ronald Colman and Greer Garson are so wonderfully sincere in their roles,

My great-aunt told me about this film- and much of the plot, too. Perhaps if I hadn't known what was going to happen, I would have liked it more. It was okay, but they length of time it takes them to get back together is incredible!

Good - Random Harvest (1942) 125 min. Greer Garson was in true form in this emotionally charged story about a man (Ronald Colman) forgetting his memory during the war, marries Greer Garson only to regain the memory of his true self. Moving ending is well-worth it despite some of the corny dialogue at times scattered throughout. Though it didn’t win any of the 2943 Oscars available, it did receive numerous nominations including: Picture, Director, Actor (Ronald Colman), Supporting Actress (Susan Peters), Screenplay, Score, and Art Direction. OPL should definitely invest in a DVD version of this film.
