The first book in the Whitewater series has some really fresh, simple recipes...hence the name I guess. Many of the recipes in this book are more time consuming with fussier ingredients. I borrowed these (the first and second book) from the library after writing a review for a cafe in Invemere, BC that served the Cranberry Salsa on an incredible roasted turkey sandwich. The owner actually replied to my review to tell me she got the recipe from the first Whitewater cook book. I was excited by the first book, a little disappointed by the second and I'm still waiting for my name to come up on the list of holds for the third one.

This is another great book in the Whitewater series. There are many recipes in this book that you will find become go to recipes. Ingredients are readily available and beautifully combined to make dishes that are great for a weeknight dinner at home or for weekend entertaining. I have all three of these books and I love and use them all!
