The Paris Vendetta --- by Steve Berry --- Berry is a member ofr that popular fraternity of authors who is very adept at mixing sleuthing with a healthy dose of history --- he omits the dash of the occult favoured by some of his confreres. The plot is engaging; the underlying concepts are entirely plausible --- something not always the case with the authors who devise elaborate ueber-plots that are ultimately a little too ueber. Of course, Berry writes well enough to keep you pleasantly engaged riding the subway or even on a summer beach holiday. Pass the suntan lotion.
Kind of a complicated story, but still pretty good. 7 of 10 for me.
