I really like this series - the student books have wonderful material, and the teacher's manual has great ideas for lessons using the books - I used these with the student I was tutoring - I didn't use the teacher's manual much but it will be useful if I start teaching in a classroom setting - the newer books come in five levels (the older were beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc) - there is a series for 'reading and writing' and one for 'speaking an listening,' and another geared for the TOEFL
