Brown Shoes is going on vacation. Betty is staying with Mrs. Pink Slippers, but Mrs. Pink Slippers does not like dogs. So Buster will be going to . . . Cowboy Camp!
Buster is nervous at first, but when he sees all the fun things to do at camp, he begins to change his mind. By the end of camp, Buster is ready to let out a great big YEE-HAW, PARDNERS!
Denise Fleming's signature style of pulp painting brings her characters to life with vibrant colors and creative compositions, including a fun map of Cowboy Camp. Old friends of Buster's will be happy to welcome him back, and new ones will be delighted to make his acquaintance.

Add a CommentBuster the dog is not happy when his vacationing owner, Brown Shoes, leaves him at Sagebrush Kennels Cowboy Camp. However, his displeasure soon disappears when he discovers that the camp is a dog's dream come true! Young readers will enjoy following Buster as he herds balls into a corral, makes paw-print "wanted" posters, and gathers sticks for the campfire, among other cowboy (cowdog?) activities. Fans of Buster will definitely want to check out his debut book, Buster, in which Betty the cat joins the family (much to Buster’s dismay).
