Compared to Kindt's other work this is very normal. Many interwoven narratives about WW2 espionage. Well-done, but not a weird and boundary-pushing as Mind MGMT.

Kindt's meticulously researched and deeply personal stories are short but sweet, striking all the right emotional and intellectual chords whilst still keeping his overarching plot and themes present. Even though each story is only a few pages, the impact he creates with it make this collection an absolute masterpiece and an example of how using multiple perspectives, characters, and artistic styles within the same graphic novel can combine to leave a lasting impression on the reader.

I loved the story and the emotion it provoked. I had to get used to the art, but once I got into the story, it was worth it. Some of the passages read like poetry (like when she's dancing out her warning). It's a little confusing how the stories interweave at first, but after I read it, I re-read it and it was even more fantastic.

It's not a quick read. Don't expect to blow through it. Take your time and really take it in. It's worth it.

Violence: The business of espionage isn't sugar-coated here - characters fight and kill. Some characters die. References to torture.
