For the most part, I enjoyed this film. I thought it did a good job charting the different epochs of Egypt's development. I feel like its a rather long film and I did eventually get tired and stop watching but until that point, I had been enjoying it. The landscapes are nice and it was very informative. I just got tired from the overloading of information.

This is a 2001 documentary about ancient Egypt's Golden Empire.
Forged by conquest and ruled by intimidation and diplomacy, Egypt's New Kingdom was built by men and women of astonishing ambition.
For nearly 500 years from 1,560 BC to 1080 BC, the pharaohs of Egypt struggled to shape the ancient kingdom.
In the process, they would create the first great empire in history.

This movie was fascinating to watch and interesting to learn about the Pharaohs of ancient times.
Though they used some scenes quite often instead of new ones to tell a story.
A good doc overall, but in my view as a avid doc watcher it was not the best that it could have been.

Visually stunning, but unfortunately this program is filled with lots of obvious inaccuracies (eg: corn/maize did not exist in Egypt) and grand speculation. It has entertainment value, but not educational value.
