As someone with a degree in Religious History I had great hopes for the concept of this book as an antidote to the vapid, cult-like delusional religious fervor that has infected swathes of our land. Alas, this book -- with its brilliant format and concept -- + very nice lady authors who had great intention -- is as silly in terms of comparing and connecting religions as comparing Little Red Riding Hood to Peter Pan. Very sad to see the childish level of thinking bringing the authors to a low common denominator rather than raising their mutual awareness. But the nice part is they became true friends along the way no matter their respective "religions."
