The Blue Hour centers around Jules Paget, a Portland State Senior who looses Robert, her almost-fiancé, in a car crash. Jules experiences a slightly unusual mourning process where Robert comes back to her in full form but surrounded by a blue light. Friend Michael anticipates what's happening to Jules as this exact same thing happened to him when his fiancée, Kate, died in a fire some years prior. Jules teeters on the edge of insanity by loving Robert's ghostly presence while Michael tries to keep her feet on the ground. Intense interactions between Jules and Michael fuel Kate's insane jealousy. Surrounded by crimson light, Kate's ghost attempts to kill Jules several times to keep Michael all to herself.Jules must make a choice and risk her life to fight Kate in order to allow Michael into her own, while at the same time, interacting with Robert's ghost as if he was still human. This story is about giving up something for the one you love and exploring the possibility of the universe supporting more than one soul mate. Good versus evil and love versus hate takes Jules on a journey of surprises, some humorous and some terrifying, but none the less, life changing.
