My favorite Green Day Album as of now. I never can get tired of listening to Jesus of Suburbia and Homecoming.

Just an amazing album. The storyline is emotional, and the overall feel of the album is so close to life, so full of ups and downs. My favorite song from this has got to be the 9-minute long Jesus of Suburbia. It starts out with three loud strums, then "I'M THE SON OF RAGE AND LOVE." I'm sure everyone has felt that way before, conflicted between the brighter and darker sides of life. Let's not forget the metaphor-filled American Idiot, and Holiday, which can get anyone's foot tapping. There's also the Grammy-winning Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and Wake Me Up When September Ends. Come to think of it, so many songs from this album have had a lot of radio play - ironically, America has embraced this album. And why shouldn't it? I can honestly say that you will LOVE American Idiot!

best rock opera since The Wall

So good! On par with the early stuff, if not better since it's not just horrible tinny guitar the whole album!

I resisted this album for a good long time because, well, it's Green Day. I'm still a little stunned that they managed to pull something like this out of themselves - their previous albums didn't remotely hint at any sense of maturity. Great stuff.
