Book - 2003
Finally it's time for Lauretta to get a new wheelchair. But she isn't satisfied with a regular 5- or 10- speed model. Nothing will do but the 92-speed, black, silver and red, dirt bike wheelchair! When Lauretta gets a speeding ticket during her one-day tryout of the super wheels, her parents tell her the wheelchair has to go back. But when her brother has an accident, only Lauretta and her 92-speed, black, silver and red, dirt-bike wheelchair can get him to the hospital in time!

Add a CommentZoom!, by Robert Munsch, is a fun, creative, and entertaining book! I enjoyed reading about Laurette’s adventure, and think that this story will be especially funny and engaging to younger audiences. It is a very silly book; however, Munsch’s writing style and energy make it very enjoyable! I love the humour, action, and unpredictability in every Munsch book, and especially this book's exaggeration and enthusiasm. The writing is fun, the illustrations add a lot of humour, and the story itself is super entertaining! I would definitely recommend this story to young readers, as it is a very funny and exciting read! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
My preschool class loved the classic Munsch exaggeration in this book and they couldn't believe that she kept wanting faster and faster wheelchairs. They particularly liked it when she got a speeding ticket.
Such a great book! I wish I could use that wheelchair!!!
