Released in 1965 - Out of Our Heads would be the Rolling Stones' third studio album.
Out of the 12 tracks - Only 3 were a collaboration of songwriting between Jagger and Richards. The rest of the tunes were covers written by other artists, including Sonny Bono, and Marvin Gaye..
This was the Rolling Stones in 1965. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction was their biggest hit.
As with The Beatles, the U.S. and U.K. releases of the Stones albums differed for a few years. This album, originally released in 1965, is the U.S. version and is their familiar mix of covers and originals, including a few of their classics like "Satisfaction" and "Play With Fire." Contrary to the other review, this is not the band at their peak, but is nonetheless a great example of their early energy, swagger and vigor. "December's Children" contains many of the songs from the U.K. version.
Beautiful album. The sound of the band at it's peak.
