The history of human hunting of elephants for a few pounds of ivory was enough to make me sick. The worst part is that most of those people didn't see anything wrong with their attitude towards the slaughter of these magnificent creatures. It made me think about the wholesale slaughter of the North American Bison during the 1800s. It's a wonder there are either any elephants or bison left in this day and age. But for how much longer and all to fuel some peoples greed.
