When I first saw this book, I couldn''t help remember Cary Grant in the movie Suspicion questioning a local mystery author for the perfect murder scenario. He was fascinated to see if she knew of a poison that could not be detected either by the victim or by the coroner! Well, I am sorry to say that answer is not in here, as far as I will tell, but many other strange modes of murder are! If you want to know if something could happen, and not should or would, to a person in a certain scene and if they would live or not, then you will find this fascinating reading. For instance, can a person with broken ribs swim? Can opium addiction make someone out of control? Or can a coroner tell the cause of death a month afterwards? These are questions that people who write and people who love to read mysteries find incredibly engrossing. Now will you sleep with one eye open?!
