Hasn't Neil Young been unplugged for like 3 decades? I suppose MTV's show was a way for older artists (Bob Dylan, Rod Stewart) to connect with younger fans. If not as novel as say Nirvana or Jay-Z going unplugged, this is still a nice overview of Young's career, touching on some classics ("Helpless," "Pocahontas") and some deep cuts ("Transformer Man") and songs from his then current album, "Harvest Moon" (the title track, "From Hank to Hendrix"). Old compadres like Nils Lofgren, Spooner Oldham, and Ben Keith are in his band. Released in 1993.
