VERY GOOD 1962 disc with 15 cuts of fine piano trio jazz - great piano, bass, and drums. I particularly enjoyed hearing (again) the two versions of 'Night Train' aka 'Happy-Go-Lucky Local' (hadn't heard that alternate name before).
Peterson, Thigpen and Brown's talent really took the trio setting up to a higher level.
One of the best jazz discs ever produced.
This album is loaded with great recordings. "Moten Swing", "C-Jam Blues", "Bags Goove", and "This Could Be the Start of Something Big" are just a few of my favorites. All the recordings are from 1961 to 1970 which makes it an earlier collection than some of the other Peterson collections. Take a listen. I am sure you'll enjoy a master pianist and his trio!
