First of all I can't get the scent of Grapefruit out of my head....it seems that said it all to me about Bird from his Wife's perspective and that was that was him at his most self-indulgent best like a horse is a horse is a horse of course so can the same be said of a gift ...at least in Birds mind and his sexual Hi-jinks (and believe me that's all they were) bored me to the quick what's the point if all orgasms lead to dread? and the brain damaged baby? it seemed all roads led to brittle introspection (except on the Mother-in-laws part ,she KNEW what was in store) little red sports cars that he probably would've one day had brought for his son had he not the common decency not to be born .....how shall I say it.....oh yeah DIFFERENT....I took the merry-go-round ride that was Bird I found him in mid-purge of his demons and enroute to becoming a fully-formed human being and father I long for a sequel.
