I thought Publishers Weekly had a good description: “ well-plotted if workmanlike thriller” though “workmanlike” was quite generous - the author seems to have watched lots of TV shows for the narrative, which often seemed simplistic at…

A Stranger in the House started great and had me intrigued. Overall, though, I was very unimpressed and even bored at times with how the story progressed. There was a lot of unrealistic police tactics.

Another great book by this author. It was a page turner that kept me guessing. The ending was unexpected, but really left me wanting more from the book.

I would have given this book 4 stars but the ending was resolved in like less than 2 pages and that was quite disappointing. Otherwise, great read and twist i didnt see coming!

Grabbed my attention immediately with the prologue leaving me wanting more. I could not put this novel down! I thoroughly enjoyed the twist on the twist, definitely was not what I was expecting. I do think there was an overabundance of…

Good mystery. Kept me guessing and I thought I knew who the killer was, but in the end it wasn't who I thought. Didn't like that the author didn't show the authentic version of the main character until the last 5ish pages. Could've alluded…

When I started to read this novel, I disliked the short subject-verb sentences that made up the paragraphs. With that sentence structure, the novel seemed like it was written to be an "easy read" for people with literacy problems. However,…

I liked the way the suspense continued to build. This made me eager to come back to find out what happened next. The ending was satisfying and had a hitchcockian feel to it. I continue to roll my eyes at Jim though.

Grabbed my interest at the start-- but the writing was choppy. Continuous third person narrative does not give a flow to the reader. I was disappointed. Too detailed, as if every movement of every character had to be described as if…

I thought this was a very great book. I liked how suspenseful it was, and it definitely kept me on my toes. I read this book in one day because I thought it was so good, and I couldn't keep waiting to figure out what was going to happen.

this book was OK. Does not hold a candle to the Couple Next Door. The writing was okay. It wasn't a bad book but it wasn't great either. Did not feel invested into any character. Read to the end but wouldve been just as satisfied googling…

Well this was a bit of a mess, I don't know if I really liked any of the characters... that said I did enjoy the little twist and the unreliable narrators. It was a pretty quick read for me and it certainly kept me going until the end.

You'll never see the ending coming!! Lots of suspense and after reading this good luck sleeping at night. Read the couple next door and an unwanted guest by the same author. Will keep you up at night. Lots of suspense!!

I LOVED her first book, The Couple Next Door, so I thought I'd give this one a read. The writing wasn't the greatest, but it had a really great story I think. I would recommend this book if you're looking for a good thriller
